Doctors

During WWII, the Army Medical Corps provided doctors, nurses, and other medically-trained personnel to the armed forces. The Medical Corps was responsible for setting up field hospitals, battalion aid stations, providing flight surgeons and nurses and hospital corpsman. Doctors were trained in emergency care and frequently worked very close to the front lines, treating soldiers wounded in combat. During WWII, statistics show that 97 out of 100 wounded soldiers who reached an aid station survived, thanks to the efforts of the Army Medical Corps.
