Captain H. M. Hollinger served during WWII with the 2nd Air Force stationed at numerous air fields such as Gowen Field, Mt Home, Etc. Capt. Hollinger was a Captain in charge of the motor pool as well as other training positions. Capt. Hollinger was present and dispatched fire and crash crews when Lt. George McGovern came in with a "hot" 500 pounder lodged in the bomb bay rack. Unbeknownst to Capt. Hollinger the pilot Lt McGovern would become a politician. In the photo, Capt.
