Joseph Lloyd Green,Jr.

Lt. Green joined the air army air corps after graduating high school.. After completing flight school, he was assigned to the 358th fighter group--365 fighter squadron.. Stationed in England and later France, he flew 103 missions over Germany. He was shot down shortly after his first mission and badly wounded, however, he recovered and completed many more missions. After VEday, he returned to the US as a flight instructer and was killed in in a plane accident. He was the recipient of: The Distinguished Flying Cross, the Air medal with 15 Oak Leaf Clusters, The Purple Heart, and the service medal with 4 major compaign stars.
