| He served as a top gunner, enlisting on April 22 1944. He served in 23 missions. His group was formed in Sept. 1944 and they trained in Alamogorda NM. He was in the 20th Air force;314the Bombardment Wing; 29th Bombardment Squadron;19th Bombardment Group. He served in the American Campaign and the Asiatic Pacific Campaign. He received the Distinguished Flying Cross and 2 Oak Clusters. He was honorably dicharged in Jan 1946. He passed away on Aug. 9th 2002 |
