| Lee A. (Sammy) Woods served in the 13th air corps, 307 bomb sqd., 370th Bomb grp. as a electrical specialist and mechanic on the B-24s in the Pacific. Lee was my father who passed away in January 1998. He worked on planes such as "The Bad Penny", "Tillie"and the "Mary Marie". He was at Henderson field, Wake Island, GuadalCanal, Munda Islands, pretty much the whole Midway. I have his military photo album which shows a number of flight crews. I just wanted to take this time to honer my father who talked with me alot of his time overseas and the pictures presented to him by crews of the planes he worked on. Also, I would like to hear from anyone who knew him. |
