Andrew Sziich enlisted in the Army Air Corp on 28 March 1942. Became Cadet on 21 June, 1942. Comissioned as 2nd Lt. on 29 April, 1943. Shipped out September, 1943. Flew P-40's as Bomber Escort all over Europe out of Italy. Was killed on 27 May 1944. Awarded the Purple Heart. |
