Sterling Palmer Bone

My Granddad Bone is said to have served in the 5th Air Force in the Philippines.I have a photo of him in his flight jacket with the 5th emblem. He is said to have been a coast watcher, he had been wounded at some point, and then went on to fly on the Bataan as McArthur's radioman. From there he returned to Riverside, Calif. Then moved to Austin Tx, to Roswell,NM. (He was there for the incident) at which time he quit flying. He retired after 33 years from Williams Air Force Base in Chandler, Az in Oct. 1967
